  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That the agenda for the regular meeting of Council scheduled for December 7, 2020, BE ADOPTED.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That the attached minutes of the regular Council meeting held November 23, 2020, be adopted as read on this day and that such minutes as read set out all of the business before Council at that meeting and fully and properly record all of the resolutions and bylaws passed and adopted by Council at that meeting.

ACTING CITY MANAGER - WALTER BABICZ
  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council:

    1. DIRECTS Administration to establish a 2022 BC Summer Games Nomination Select Committee; and
    2. APPROVES the Committee’s Terms of Reference, attached to the report dated November 26, 2020 from the Acting City Manager titled “2022 BC Summer Games – Nomination Committee.”
  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council RECEIVES FOR INFORMATION the report dated November 27, 2020, from the Acting City Manager, titled “Management/Exempt Compensation Survey.”

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council:

    1. APPROVES the COVID-19 Council Committee procedural changes set out in the report dated November 25, 2020, from the Acting City Manager, titled “Council Committee Procedural Changes during the COVID-19 Pandemic and Amendment to the Terms of Reference for the Select Committee on a Safe, Clean, and Inclusive Community”, to be in effect for the duration of the COVID-19 provincial state of emergency; and

    2. APPROVES an amendment to Section 3.2 of the Terms of Reference for the Select Committee on a Safe, Clean, and Inclusive Community to extend the Committee’s length of term and membership appointments until June 30, 2021.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council RECEIVES FOR INFORMATION the report dated November 23, 2020 from the Acting Director of Civic Operations titled “2020 Major Capital Projects Update”.

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE - KRIS DALIO
  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council:

    1. APPROVES borrowing from the Municipal Finance Authority of British Columbia, as part of their 2021 spring issue $2,725,000 as authorized through “2nd Avenue Parkade Upgrade Loan Authorization Bylaw No. 8745, 2016” and that the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George be requested to consent to the borrowing over a twenty (20) year term and include the borrowing in its security issuing bylaw; and
    2. APPROVES borrowing from the Municipal Finance Authority of British Columbia, as part of their 2021 spring issue $15,000,000 as authorized through “Fire Hall #1 Replacement Loan Authorization Bylaw No. 8889, 2017” and that the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George be requested to consent to the borrowing over a twenty (20) year term and include the borrowing in its security issuing bylaw.
