  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council APPROVES the Annual Report for the year ended December 31, 2020, attached as Appendix “A” to the report from the Acting City Manager dated June 21, 2021, titled “City of Prince George 2020 Annual Report.”

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council AUTHORIZES the Mayor and Corporate Officer to execute the Centralized Fire Dispatch Service Agreement (Amending Agreement) attached to the report from the Fire Chief dated June 15, 2021 titled “Centralized Fire Dispatch Agreement – Amending Agreement”, to enable the addition of the Fire Dispatch Back-Up Services Agreement with North Island 9-1-1 Corporation.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council APPROVES the 2021 proposed budget amendments set out in the attachment to the report dated June 18, 2021 from the Acting City Manager titled “June 2021 Capital Budget Amendments”.

DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY SERVICES AND PUBLIC SAFETY - ADAM DAVEY
  • RECOMMENDATION:

    THAT Council:

    1. APPROVES the reopening of all six City Arenas in accordance with Public Health Orders, with budget reopening expenses provided through the Provincial Restart Grant funding; AND

    2. APPROVES the reopening of the Prince George Conference & Civic Centre in accordance with Public Health Orders following the completion of Northern Health Authority’s Covid-19 vaccination clinic, with budget reopening expenses provided through the Provincial Restart Grant funding; AND

    3. APPROVES the resumption of normal Aquatics programming and services at the Prince George Aquatic Centre in accordance with Public Health Orders, with budget expenses provided through the Provincial Restart Grant funding.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    THAT Council:

    1. GIVES FIRST READING to “City of Prince George Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 8383, 2011, Amendment Bylaw No. 9204, 2021”;
    2. CONSIDERS “City of Prince George Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 8383, 2011, Amendment Bylaw No. 9204, 2021” in conjunction with the current Financial Plan and confirm there are no issues;
    3. CONSIDERS “City of Prince George Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 8383, 2011, Amendment Bylaw No. 9204, 2021”, in conjunction with the current Regional District of Fraser Fort-George Solid Waste Management Plan and confirm there are no issues;
    4. CONSIDERS “City of Prince George Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 8383, 2011, Amendment Bylaw No. 9204, 2021”, in conjunction with the City of Prince George Strategic Framework for a Sustainable Prince George and confirm there are no issues;

    That the City of Prince George SUPPORTS the application to Northern Development Initiative Trust from AWAC - Association Advocating for Women and Community for a grant in the amount of $100,000.00 to provide evening outreach services year-round for individuals suffering from substance misuse, mental health challenges and homelessness.

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That the City of Prince George SUPPORTS the application to Northern Development Initiative Trust from AWAC - Association Advocating for Women and Community for a grant in the amount of $90,000.00 to allow for the expansion of the bathroom services at the AWAC facility to include an additional two toilets and showers.
