  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council APPROVES the Advisory Committee on Accessibility 2023 Work Plan attached to the report dated February 21, 2023 from the Chair of the Advisory Committee on Accessibility titled “Advisory Committee on Accessibility 2022 Annual Report”.

  • RECOMMENDATION #1:

    That Council APPROVES the draft Terms of Reference for the Advisory Committee on Accessibility and Inclusion as attached to the report dated February 16, 2023 from the City Manager titled “Advisory Committee on Accessibility – Terms of Reference Update”.

  • RECOMMENDATION #2:

    That Council CONSIDERS appointing one (1) member of Council to serve as Council Liaison to the Advisory Committee on Accessibility and Inclusion until the 2026 general local election.

Parks and Open Space Bylaw No. 7370, 2002, Amendment Bylaw No. 9389, 2023

  • RECOMMENDATION #1:

    That Council ENDORSES the proposed centralized encampment management approach as outlined in the report dated March 1, 2023 from the Director of Public Safety titled “Centralized  Encampment Management”.

  • RECOMMENDATION #2:

    That Council APPROVES the Lower Patricia site on the attached map to be authorized for temporary overnight sheltering as per the prescribed restrictions contained within the proposed “City of Prince George Parks and Open Space Bylaw No. 7370, 2002, Amendment Bylaw No. 9389, 2023”.

  • RECOMMENDATION #3:

  • RECOMMENDATION:

    That Council SUPPORTS Administration’s application to Northern Development Initiative Trust for a grant of up to $300,000 from the Northern Healthy Communities Fund to support the Prince George Housing Development Capacity project and AUTHORIZES the Director of Planning and Development and the Director of Finance and IT Services to sign any necessary funding agreements.

    1. Receipt of a Traffic Impact Study;
    2. Receipt of a Servicing Brief; and
    3. Registration of a Section 219 Covenant on the legal title of South West ¼ of District Lot 4028, Cariboo District, Except Plans H226, 26531, PGP37520, PGP40312, PGP41662, 29887, and EPP42339 that:
      1. prohibits apartment housing;
      2. limits density to 30 dwellings/ha; and
      3. prohibits symmetrical façades for two-unit housing.

    In addition, any recommendations presented in the preceding items must be addressed to the satisfaction of the Director of Planning and Development.
