Congratulations to Mana Moshkforoush, a graduate of Duchess Park Secondary School, who has earned a $60,000 scholarship from Schulich Leader Scholarships to be used at McGill University where Mana will be entering the Biological Biomedical Life Sciences Program.
 
Congratulations to Gina Layte Liston, Director of Public Works for the City of Prince George, for receiving UNBC's Distinguished Alumni Award for Professional Excellence in recognition of the dedication to her career and the tireless efforts made in support of her profession, education and the community as a whole.
 
The City of Prince George has been awarded the 2016 Award of Merit for its contribution to the development and advancement of the Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Developmentā€™s CLIC Tool (Community Lifecycle Infrastructure Costing Tool) - a tool that helps Canadian cities make better long-term land-use decisions. Congratulations to City employees, Frank Blues, Asset Manager (retired), and Tiina Schaeffer, Manager of Sustainable Community Development, for their collaborative work with various levels of government and professional associations to develop a comprehensive tool to help reduce infrastructure deficit.
