  RECOMMENDATION:
  1. That the following properties, as identified by the City of Prince George Heritage Commission, be added to the Prince George Heritage Register:
    1. Knox United Church (1448 5th Avenue);
    2. Taylor House (1872 10th Avenue);
    3. Dogwood and Elm Street Trees;
    4. Vancouver Street Elms; and
    5. Quinson Elementary School (251 South Ogilvie Street); and
  2. That Council AUTHORIZE Administration to proceed with the legislated notification in accordance with Section 598 of the Local Government Act.

  RECOMMENDATION: That Council:
  1. AUTHORIZE Administration to complete the application process for a grant under the Municipalities for Climate Innovation Program – Climate Change Plans and Studies Grants, which is administered by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, to update the City's climate change mitigation plan, which is currently contained in the "City of Prince George Energy and Greenhouse Management Plan" (2007); and
  2. AUTHORIZE the City's Financial Officer and General Manager of Engineering and Public Works to sign grant application documents and any contract documents should grant approval be received.
     
D.5 Report: Infrastructure Planning Grant Program - January 2018 Applications
  RECOMMENDATION:
  1. That Staff SUBMIT a grant application under the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing - Infrastructure Planning Grant Program (IPGP) for funding of an available $10,000 for each of the following projects in order of priority:
    1. Groundwater at Risk of Containing Pathogen– Risk Analysis
    2. Salt Vulnerable Areas Action Plan
    3. Winnipeg Stormwater Management and Treatment Plan; and
  2. That the City's Financial Officer and General Manager of Engineering and Public Works BE AUTHORIZED to sign the grant application documents and any contract documents should grant approval be received.
